Introduction
We've had a few projectors for reviews before and most of them belong to the more simple consumer category. This time around, we have Canon's LV-7370 which is a high-end business projector.
THE LV-7370 has very a very curved design with rounded edges. What we liked best about this projector is the handle which lets you easily transport it around when necessary. Should you need to carry it out of the office or bring it somewhere else, there's always the carry case that's provided along with the projector within the box of the LV-7370. The usual buttons can be spotted, such as the ones to adjust the keystone, the menu, and the power button. Speaking of power, note that the other switch at the back panel of the projector must be toggled on before you can power up the projector and you need to press and hold the power button for about 2 seconds before it turns on.
The LV-7370 provides lots of different means to connect and doesn't rely on only the usual VGA cable. With increasing number of notebooks spotting HDMI ports, the LV-7370 uses not only VGA but also DVI so that you can use a HDMI-DVI cable to connect the projector to notebook with HDMI. There are also plugs for a composite cable, audio input and output, S-Video, and even a serial port.
As expected of a high-end projector, image quality is sharp and so is the brightness and contrast. The LV-7370 is perhaps one of the best if not the best projector we've ever reviewed, in terms of the image quality. Quality always comes with a price however and unfortunately it's usually a very high price. In the case of the LV-7370 you'd need to fork out RM4,499 for it. If you need a good projector for your company's business meetings then this projector is a good choice.
